Leading logistics company Torque has announced its further expansion after acquiring a 380,000 sq ft Distribution Centre (DC) at Wakefield, formerly owned by La Redoute.
The new Wakefield DC has a huge capacity to support Torque in expanding its business and is ideally located within easy reach of major motorway networks. As part of the deal, Torque will TUPE 100+ existing employees and with a great location the company will be able to take advantage of good local employment opportunities. The site is equipped to handle both boxed and hanging products and features automated sortation, three large mezzanine floors and high bay including 15 metre eaves, the new distribution centre is perfect for the full logistics offering Torque provides.
